Affiliate Markets Saturation

What It Is, How It Affects You and How to Avoid It

Another description which draws us a picture of the necessary character of market saturation and that is consumer desensitization. The inference of both descriptions are negative, considering that you are an affiliate marketer. In todays market, affiliate marketing in consider the most pragmatic plan to develop a 2nd income from home. Maybe, in your affiliate choices, your are confronted with market saturation, is there still any reason to participate in this enterprise

How to define market saturation.

Market saturation, certainly in relative to affiliate marketing, is the conception of a period in time, spanning the life of the marketed product, when interest for a commodity or service tops out and starts declining. Research has shown various reasons, such as:

The amount of representatives has grown in a limited area. Often, this occurs when affiliate programs fail to govern the market dispersion of its services in designated niches.

As more and more distributors enter the arena, the market becomes bombarded by the same products. Since there are only so many people to purchase, subscribe or participate, it wouldn’t be long until affiliate market saturation occurs.

Slowdown in the sales item requests and consumers neediness. Past performance shows us many causes for changes in the attractiveness of an affiliates product, but when it appears under the umbrella of affiliate markets saturation, the most likely cause is that the buyers desire has declined. This is really obvious when that consumer item had good marketing success and captured a market-share due to sensational promotion. Buyers desire, after awhile, will level off and slowly taper off.

Competing items showing up in identical marketplace. Competition can be an asset for the affiliate marketing niche. On the other hand, it can also have a negative affect. The affiliate item that you are marketing today might have a high conversion rate but when a similar consumer item challenges you directly for market share, it its plausible that your ability to capture the market will be a serious race.

Can you imagine when 10 or 15 of the same items flood the market…

Avoiding affiliate markets saturation

Therefore in most divisions of business market saturation is an unavoidable event (look at the crash of great deal of MLM companies), your affiliate business does not have to be taken prisoner. Following are some concepts you will have to weigh carefully so you will understand how to shy away of opportunities that are not capable of generating the type of income that you are looking for.

Why You Will Love Doing Short Sales

Aug 30, 2008 Author: Jeff Kaller | Filed under: Sales & Networking
by Jeff Kaller

Getting started as a Short Sale investor is a great way to supplement your income, or even replace your full-time job with a more profitable and less time-consuming alternative. But the huge potential income is just one of many reasons that you’re going to love doing short sales. Here are some other reasons that you may not yet have considered:

- The “Win-Win-Win” Situation. When you work with a lender to find an acceptable compromise on a price for a distressed property, you not only are obtaining a great investment property for yourself, you’re also helping a distressed homeowner move on with their life without the burden of a foreclosure on their credit and their mind and helping a lender recoup money that they otherwise might have had to wait months or even years to recover - if they ever recovered it at all! Of course, the investment property for you is the driving motivation here, but the other aspects aren’t so bad either. The other two parties may not thank you every time (if ever), but you are helping them both make the best of a bad situation, and you should feel better about that the more deals you do.

- You’re Solving Problems. And even more, you’re doing it quickly, efficiently and effectively! If a person has just agreed to a short sale, their mortgage is not their only problem, but once that particular problem is resolved, their stress-load is tens of thousands - if not hundreds of thousands - of dollars lighter. And that relief can spur them into the next stage of their life where they’ll be able to clean up their messes and start over fresh - and all this without the taint of a foreclosure on their credit.

- Reliable, Predictable and Repetitious Results. Once you’ve mastered the art of short sale dealing, you have a permanent source of income in your repertoire. Short sale deals require you to take a certain number of specific steps, factor in certain and specific aspects of a property, then produce and acceptable offer and walk away with your new investment. Not all your offers will be accepted, and you’ll probably turn down some tempting deals because they’re just too risky, but once you know how to spot a good deal and negotiate successfully for it, your potential is limitless! Because there will always be foreclosures (it’s likely that the number will only increase as more and more people take out variable interest loans with rates they won’t always be able to afford) and lenders will always want to recover cold, hard cash.

- Feeling Good. We have already talked about how you are helping other people while making money for yourself, but the other thing that’s going to make you feel good is your personal satisfaction in a job completed well. When you close your first deal, you’re going to feel like you won a marathon, and when you close your twentieth, you’re going to feel even better! Investing in short sales may be a totally new area of endeavor for you, or it may just be a new niche of your real estate investing portfolio, but either way, mastering a new skill and making lots of money at it is incredibly rewarding. And the looks of admiration and even envy on your friends and family’s faces when you break the news that you just doubled your annual income with one or two short sales will be priceless.

It is in my humble opinion that if you fail to truly learn and utilize short sale investment strategies in your real estate career, you will easily never realize 80% of your income potential. Ask me how I know this… I could name a hundred students in every state who focus exclusively on short sales and preforeclosures as their sole means of income.

With over 1.2 million foreclosure, preforeclosure, bankruptcy, FSBO and tax lien listings, it’s important for training in the analysis and search of large and complex databases of foreclosed homes and investment property information. Being able to identify opportunities while researching top lending institutions and government agencies Real Estate Owned; Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Veterans Affairs, Fannie Mae, and other government agency and financial institution properties is essential.

Buying foreclosures is one of the best ways for anyone to get involved in real estate investing. With a small investment and some specialized knowledge an investor can buy a house at a substantial discount and resell it retail gain up to 15% - 20% profit in the process.

Attract Your Target Market with these Helpful Tips

Aug 30, 2008 Author: Cathy Yeatts | Filed under: Advertising
by Cathy Yeatts

Are you running in circles trying to market your home business, but feel that you aren’t connecting with your ideal prospects? Take a deep breath, clear you mind and make room for a new approach to marketing.

The ability to answer the following questions and to effectively put those answers into practice is essential to achieving the growth you desire for your home business.

1. Who is my target group, and what are their needs?

2. What am I marketing?

3. How am I marketing this?

The answer to Question 1 really just involves some basics of human interaction. Everybody loves to feel understood. You’ll get a lot further with your target market if you understand what they’ve been through and what their needs are, but first, you must clearly establish who this target market is. Are they young women looking for the newest breakthrough in skin care that will help give them greater confidence? Are they those who have suffered with health problems and are seeking a new answer in nutrition? Or are they stay-at-home moms needing to earn money from home? Identify these things, and you can establish yourself as they answer they need.

Put yourself in their shoes and imagine. Why do they need the product or opportunity you offer? What products or business opportunities have they tried before and found disappointing? What might these prospects be feeling? What are their concerns for the future? This is called empathy. It works in relationships, and it works in business, because, simply put, business is just a magnification of the human relationship.

Keep the feelings of your target market in the forefront of your mind, and never underestimate the importance emotions in marketing. (No, it’s not dirty to market things based on emotions. It’s realistic. It’s just another one of those basics of human interaction. Emotions almost always lead actions by the hand.)

In answer to Question 2, you probably said, “I’m marketing my company’s products and business opportunity.” That’s true, in a sense, but what you really need to focus on marketing is yourself. Some of my more scrupulous readers may be cringing at the though of “selling themselves”. However, we all market ourselves every day. You are your own priceless commodity, and your market yourself to friends, family and employers on a regular basis.

If you doubt that and still want to concentrate on products, consider this: There are 28.7-billion people* involved in direct selling, and that number is rapidly growing. A lot of them are offering products and opportunities similar to yours. So the important thing to consider in your marketing is, “Why should your target group join you?”

Give your prospects a reason to link themselves to you. Show yourself to be a leader in your field by providing authoritative content. Make yourself available by including your contact information on your site and on the advertising you put on the net. Be quick to return emails and phone calls. Isn’t that the kind of sponsor you’d like to work with?

Lastly, consider the ways you’ve gone about trying to reach your ideal prospects. I could write many articles on that subject, but I’ll include a few pointers here.

Have you starting using the many free sources of advertising on the web? Many Network marketers have successfully used Squidoo, YouTube and many others to get their name, their face and their ideas out on the Internet. There are also good forms of paid advertising, like Yahoo Search Marketing and Google Adwords.

Articles are a great way to promote your home based business. Write on topics of interest to your target market, and keep in mind the kinds of things they might be typing into the search engine boxes. Those things are the keywords that you need to incorporate into your title and text.

If article writing is not your cup of tea, outsource your writing projects using a service like Elance or Shelancers. (Yes, there are people out there who like to do the things you consider a drag.)

You can spread your content throughout the Internet using article directories like ezinearticles.com or GoArticles.com. Keep your content fresh and updated to keep yourself in the search engines’ sights.

Reassess your marketing techniques often and use these tips to give your network marketing business the jumpstart it needs.

Avoid the Chit Chat

Aug 30, 2008 Author: Kenrick Cleveland | Filed under: Sales & Networking
by Kenrick Cleveland

Americans love to talk. Americans also love to be talked to — listening to the TV or the stereo or talk radio — anything so that there’s no silence. Silence we seem to delegate to those few days a year when we get back to nature. In conversations, especially, there’s a real fear of silence, an awkwardness that sort of permeates the in between spaces where there is no one talking and most people will do anything possible to fill up that silence with noise regardless of whether or not it’s going to damage their chances of selling their product or service.

We chatter. We fill in the spaces with inane nothingness. I know that my students and those of you in sales are familiar with the cliche persona of the classic sales person who looks around his or her prospect’s office and takes note of the photos on the wall or art or whatever, and begins to talk about the husband or wife, how are the kids, what’s going on in the golf game, et cetera, and basically chit chats their prospect into non-compliance. The sale was in the bag, but not signed off on, and the odds are dwindling the more they talk.

I personally had a tremendous breakthrough when I realized I needed to keep my mouth shut more often. For someone who likes to talk, that’s a tall order. As a young man, i would constantly derail myself over and over in sales situations, by chit chatting them out of the contract. What’s worse, when I noticed it derailing, I would talk even more to try to get it back on track. Did it work? No.

I realized I was absolutely giving the prospect or client an out by chattering on too long. I wondered, why don’t they like me more, why don’t they want to be my friend? Why don’t they want to talk about personal, day-to-day stuff with me? I can tell you exactly why. . . they were not getting from me the answer to the burning question within them.

I fully accept that I have been blessed with the gift of gab. I will say, however, that the shift in my thinking happened when I realized I had to form what I was saying to focus intensely on the prospect and on what they needed and wanted and not my own agenda.

And what is that burning question? Well, basically, it’s “What can you do for me, Kenrick?” All our prospects really want to know is what’s in it for them. What are we going to help them with. The only way to realize the answers is to ask the questions and get their criteria and stay out of their way well they tell us about it. After that, it’s up to us to get to the meaning, the definitions, of this criteria.

Criteria and its meaning have got to be the foremost thing in your mind when making a sale, no ifs, ands or buts. Remember this, and you won’t be derailed.

Marketing with Articles

Aug 30, 2008 Author: Theo McLanahan | Filed under: Search Engine Optimization
by Theo McLanahan

You can help boost traffic to your website by marketing with articles. All that this means is submitting articles that you have written to online article reprint directories.

In order to get traffic to your website or blog by means of search engine results, it is absolutely essential that your content be well updated and interesting. Article reprint directories are commonly visited by people who want to add content to their website or blog with an article.

When you submit an article to a directory, you are allowing other website owners and bloggers permission to add your article to their site - for free. However, they need to include an ‘about the author’ box at the end of the article. You get to write what you want included in that box, so include a bit of information about the product or service you offer and include links to your site.

When the website owner or blogger puts your article up on the web, all of their readers will see your biography information and the links to your website. Your article could end up on hundreds or thousands of websites, and quite possibly, millions of people could end up reading it! Who knows how many people could click on your link?

It is very easy to find these reprint directories on the web. Just do a Google search on ‘free reprint article directories’ and many listings will pop up. Some are highly targeted and feature only articles health articles; or only articles about food; and other directories are more general.

You can submit your article to more than one directory, and there are even some software packages that will submit the articles for you.

The topics you can choose to write about are limitless. What is the focus of your website? Be creative and think of why someone would want to visit your website and create an article about it.

Someone who sells Tupperware for instance, could easily write about food related items or take it a step further an write an article about the fact that the plastic containers are great for organizing toys, bathroom items or even nuts and bolts in the garage.

Vendors and fulfillment are critical to taking your product or service from concept to cash. These could be graphic designers, they could be web programmers, they could be fulfillment houses, they could be CD duplicators. There are all kinds of different types of vendors that you may come across in your business. Here are a few tips on how to build a quality relationship with these people and cut back on your fulfillment costs.

One great way to build your relationship with someone is to send them as many referrals as you can. By sending them recommendations and referrals they will see your relationships as having more value then just someone they do business with. When I do this with the vendors I work with I am now not only benefiting them by giving them business but by also bringing more business to them. This puts me in a much more favorable light then most of their costumers. You want to give them as many benefits as quickly as possible - sending referrals is a very easy method to do so.

Here is another tip that I have also done - joint venture projects with my vendors. This is an example of one jv project I’ve done. Graphic designer are great at what they do and can really change the way people view your products. The graphic designer I was working with and I decided to do a joint venture project together - she would do the design at no cost and I would do the marketing and put together the product. Then we would split any profits.

Boom! Just like that I had almost completely eliminated my cost up front and now don’t have to worry about coming up with that money. Starting out, this was really helpful as I didn’t have the money to put up front to hire a graphic designer. So this strategy is really great for that reason and many others.

Some people will think, “If I split the profits with someone else, I’m going to loose a big chunk of money!” Time out. Personally, I think that it is better to actually get your projects completed, making some money, rather than not have any completed and not be making any money.

If I didn’t create that type of relationship with this specific vendor, I would never have completed those projects and would therefore wouldn’t have made any money. Those ideas would have been sitting up on a shelf, not making me anything.

When you are on a tight marketing budget, you’ve got to get creative. And that is one creative idea that I’ve used. I’ve also used that with web developers.

Another tip to save money that I have learned over the course of using vendors is to have as much work done ahead of time. By doing this you are cutting down on the time and effort your vendor needs to use on your project. You can even ask your vendor questions, like, how could you decrease they’re effort, reduce your overall costs, etc. Vendors will answer these for you, they want to work with you. Everyone has a budget to work within and vendors will be willing to help you stay within it, they are always interested in your business and will help you meet your goals.

Another idea is to create a template versus a one-off project, so that you can use it over and over again without incurring more costs each time. Let me explain that in a little detail.

We’ll use an e-Book as an example. Instead of getting your graphic designer to design a specific layout for your one e-Book, why don’t you just get them to design a template you can use to every other e-Book you develop?

That is a completely different approach, yet it will save you hundreds - if not thousands - of dollars in the long-run. Yet, it’s pretty much the same amount of effort for the graphic designer. So that’s another creative idea on how you can save a lot of money when working with vendors, and also building relationships with vendors.

As you can see, these are just a few quick examples on how to both cut costs and build strong long lasting relationships with vendors and fulfillment companies. Once you start thinking outside of the box, many more strategies will come to you.

May ideas come to you when you need them most!
