Mark A Cella Why Better Ethics Are Important

Mark A Cella on the Foundation of Ethics

Better Ethics Stem From Moral Values and a Belief System. Today’s Society is Very Complicated and Corrupt and Better Ethical Direction Will Bring Prosperity.

If ethics is the glue that holds any society together, then better ethics can only make life better for each and everyone in our society. Most Americans have a firm and honest grasp of ethics that governs the way they behave and the choices they make.

It is these ethical stances that dictate whether a community will stand firm together as one, or disintegrate due to the resulting friction brought about differing ethical positions.

Ethical values come under threat by people who are ardent for success by using unethical means. While the pressure to succeed in life can prove too much for some, that is never a good reason for one to abandon ethical values, which are the moral fabrics that keep societies and families together.

The pillars of good ethics such as responsibility, loyalty, and truthfulness assist in making right decisions regardless of the current situation or the environment that individuals may find themselves in at any given time.

Adhering to ethical behavior when faced with tough situations facilitates self-confidence, which is directly attributed to courage, a quality necessary to maintain ethical behavior.

These are qualities that successful people have in abundance and as a result are willing to overcome their fears and take risks in accordance to the principle of success. Better ethics are part of success, and for this reason it is imperative to have the pillars of good ethics be entrenched at an early age.

Mark A Cella Why Better Ethics Are Important

The unethical on the other hand result to such tactics as telling lies or cheating due to their fear of failing. The evening news is impregnated with examples of unethical behavior in politics, corporate America, and families.

For example, the unethical behavior of a Susan Smith led to the murder of her two children in October of 1994 when she drown them in a lake in order to revive a relationship with a local man who didn’t want a ready-made family.

The Unethical behavior of former President Bill Clinton, who had intimate relations Monica Lewinsky in the White House and then lied about it, resulted in lowering the standards of our positional presidential candidates, which may have been the direct cause of overlooking the un-convicted felon Barak Obama as a candidate for president.

Mark A Cella Better Ethics Are Needed in America

Ethical behavior is a result of moral beliefs, which stem from a value system often attributed to a foundation spiritual belief or the worship of a higher power.

While a small minority of society races to eradicate any public acknowledgement of God, these same people would be replete to explain their own foundations of right and wrong absent the moral law of the Bible.

Better ethics stem from a sense of right and wrong, good and bad, moral and immoral, which all come from a source, and in America, the source is the Bible. Even the laws of America were established in lock step with the principles of the Bible.

In Washington D. C. you can see a monument of Abraham Lincoln, a true man of freedom who reverberates a sense of right and wrong, an ethical man who said in regards to the Bible:

“In regard to this Great Book, I have but to say, it is the best gift God has given to man. All the good the Savior gave to the world was communicated through this book.”

- The Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln edited by Roy P. Basler, Volume VII, “Reply to Loyal Colored People of Baltimore upon Presentation of a Bible” (September 7, 1864), p. 542. -

Mark A Cella Why Better Ethics Are Important

What better ethics is there than to do good to one another in society? But today in America ethics are under attack.

While military’s can protect a nation, and Congress can control the governing of a people, without ethics and ethical behavior a nation is defeated and lost, imprisoned and enslaved, and oppression reins supreme.

Therefore let those who are unethical fail in their pursuits and those who are ethical richly succeed.

But most importantly, let us never forget where the foundations of our ethical behavior stems from, and let us display courage to acknowledge truth, never forgetting that freedom is the result of better ethics from courageous men.

  • How Banning Sports Betting Undermines The Constitution

Aug 3, 2010 Author: Ross Everett | Filed under: Politics

The Federal ban on sports betting has been blasted by anyone who knows anything about the subject for a number of different reasons. Though the US professional leagues suggest that sports betting threatens the integrity of their games, the opposite is the case. The professional bookmaking industry is usually where any type of compromised or fixed game is discovered. Ultimately, the best case for legal sports betting is Constitutional.

The Congress of the United States has shown very little respect for the Constitution in recent years. Were it to abide strictly by the role outlined for it by the founding fathers, the Legislative Branch of our government would have to relinquish any number of its powers in a variety of areas. The primary problem with our Congress is that it has increasingly become a collection of career politicians rather than a body representative of its constituency. Every increase in power at the Federal level must be brought about by a usurpation of state and local sovereignty and, more alarmingly, personal liberty.

The Federal prohibition of sports wagering which was enacted a few years back is of very dubious Constitutionality. Were it not for the grandfather clause, which allowed it to remain legal in jurisdictions in which it already existed, it would have certainly been struck down as unconstitutional on a number of different fronts. Ironically, the Nevada gaming industry wasnt too concerned at the passage of this law; indeed, they certainly liked the fact that they could go about business as usual while potential competition from other states for the sports wagering dollar was completely curtailed.

Unfortunately, the mere fact that a proposed law or initiative is unconstitutional offers little protection for the citizenry. In fact one of the most important concepts in the Constitution”that of the right to sovereignty and self-determination of the individual states”is one of the most frequently abused. For those of you not up on the Constitution (and if youre not, you certainly should be), lets consider the 10th Amendment:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

In other words, unless the power in question has been expressly given to the Federal government by the Constitution, and/or unless it has expressly been prohibited to the states (as in the case of treaty making) it is the right of each individual state to govern themselves as they see fit. If an individual state chooses not to regulate a certain activity, it is the right of each individual citizen to make their own decision. That was the overriding concern of the writers and framers of the Constitution”that the personal liberty of the individual not be violated by a too-powerful central government.

So, here exactly does the Constitution delegate to the Federal government the right to make policy on sports gambling? The answer is that it doesnt, and it is very questionable that they have the Constitutional authority to do so.

The entire premise of a social contract between a government and the governed is that individuals give up a certain degree of personal liberty for a certain degree of protection. The problem is that too many Americans are willing to give up just about any freedom for even the illusory promise of protection. With each additional law intended to protect us from this or that the Federal government becomes larger and more powerful and the rights of the sovereign states”and the individuals that comprise them”are shrinking and being weakened.

Those that have sufficient cash to invest in something that will not go out of favor and will at all times retain it’s worth might consider putting money into gold, even if it is to just buy some coins. • How To Become A Private Detective

Jun 17, 2010 Author: Eleanor Reez | Filed under: Politics

“Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, or an individual with a Thermos conducting an all-night vigil for suspected infidelity: private investigators provide services including surveillance and employee theft; they trace missing persons; and advise companies on security measures, including de-bugging, and preventing industrial espionage.” – From The Times, 2005.

What is it exactly that makes a person a good private detective? It is not the academic qualification, nor is it the length of experience in a certain job. What actually makes a good private detective is if a person has a huge degree of patience, common sense and tenacity. These are the most important qualities. A private detective must be thorough. Most of the successful private detectives were former police offers and others used to work for law firms or in administrative support in detective agencies.

Of course, before they become private detectives they will be provided with short training courses to hone their skills as detectives. Tony Imossi now heads London-based Solicitors’ Law Services, but has been a private investigator. “In my first job I routinely met private investigators, decided that I could do better and set up on my own. I now advise on protection against fraud and money laundering. I do this by assessing clients’ degree of protection and investigating the people that they propose to do business with.”

Tony Imossi has worked in advanced fee fraud, undercover operations and fit-to-sue work. He has done so by checking public sources of information that you can see whether money to pay the debt is available. There was even a case when he got really close to a guy who was defrauding a bank. He posed as an arms dealer, and the fraud fell for it.

Anyone can call themselves a private detective, but not everyone can prove themselves to be real private detectives.

  • Family Guy Political Satire – Funniest Political Jokes

May 24, 2010 Author: James Scott | Filed under: Politics

ntellectual midgets and Pee Wee Herman The Congressman; Hell will freeze over before politicians can fix this economy.

The economy is in shambles. Unemployment is at an all-time high. Foreclosure has become an epidemic and we are looking to the same screw-up’s who put us in this mess to get us out.

Seriously, and I say this with all due respect the handicapped and economically disadvantaged, we would have a better chance of grabbing a random homeless, blind, deaf, mute, quadriplegic out of a refrigerator box shanty in a west Philly alleyway and betting one million dollars that we could train him to win the Ironman in a week, than we ever will depending on succubus congressmen and senators to get us out of this mess of which they are responsible.

Congress will blame this meltdown on aliens and the chupacabra before they admit any wrong doing.

Turn on the news and you’ll see an orgy of sweaty brow, finger-wagging and jaw-flapping politicians blaming a straw man CEO of an investment banking firm for ten years of his firm’s economic gluttony and purging (though he’s only been in this executive position for 90 days). It’s a set up. Wake up. It’s all just a distraction.

Bring in a clean cut yet power hungry executive, put him through rapid promotion from VP to CEO, tell him he’s going to a press conference then blindfold him, lead him to a 3×3 ft closet, toss in a dozen stink bombs, 10 day old soiled adult diapers, bottle rockets and fire crackers, turn out the lights, take off the blindfold, throw in a rabid squirrel, slam the door shut and 5 days later let him out to and ask him to run the Boston Marathon wearing an eye patch, Speedo and flip-flops while waving pompoms. Let’s get real. We need solutions, not a congressional Kid n’ Play dance competition. It’s a joke and we are the ones being laughed at; you, me and our children.

I have an idea! For the next presidential election we can have Pee Wee Herman run under the democratic ticket, the hunchback of notre dame can run under the republican ticket and we can have Chubaka run the CNN televised debate and we can have the post debate commentaries by Lady Gaga and the Teletubbies and why not? Americans would complain for 2 days and then buy the latest Asterix Comic for voting advice on the next election.

  • If you were to ask someone ten or twenty years ago what they thought about bankruptcies, they would have probably snarled at you and reported that filing a bankruptcy was the worst thing that an individual could do. However, with the economic recession in full swing and millions of people still out of work, bankruptcies have lost their horrid glares and are actually being seen as highly attractive. A chapter 13 bankruptcy attorney can assist you with the process of filing this particular type of bankruptcy and explain the pros and the cons of this plan.

When it comes to an individual deciding upon filing a bankruptcy there are several different routes that an individual can opt to take. Normally there are only two types of bankruptcies that are available to the public. The first type is a chapter 7 and the other type is a chapter 13. Both of these bankruptcies have their good and bad points, however were going to look a little bit further into the chapter 13 bankruptcy process.

Your debt will not be eliminated until you, your attorney and your creditors have decided upon a payment plan that suits all parties. The plan will normally last for three to five years and after the amount of funds agreed upon has been paid back in full, only then will you be able to consider yourself a debt free individual.

An chapter 13 bankruptcy attorney can help make the task of filing for this particular type of plan a lot less strenuous on you. However, bear in mind that even though you may be approved for this course of action with haste, you will be required to follow all of your attorneys instructions in order to eliminate all of your excess debts that you presently have.

One of the main reasons why so many people are anxious to file this particular type of bankruptcy is because with doing so they are able to cease any foreclosures from taking place on their property. This means that the debtor will not have to worry about their homes being taken from underneath them, because they are making the right steps to get their debts rectified with haste.

There are certain stipulations that an individual must meet in order to be able to qualify for a chapter 13 bankruptcy. One of the provisions of this particular type of bankruptcy states that the debtor must have debts that are less than $336,900 in unsecured debts their secured debts must be less than $1,010,650 in order to qualify for this plan.

If a debtors bankruptcy case was dismissed 180 days or less prior to an individual filing for another bankruptcy, they will not be able to file for a chapter 13 bankruptcy. Individuals must understand that during the course of this bankruptcy they are required to make payments to the creditors that they owe.

Even though the amount of money that the individual will have to pay to their creditors is a lot less, there is still a reasonable amount of money that still needs to be paid in accordance to this plan. A chapter 13 bankruptcy is a great way to pay back the debts that you have open and be able to regain your financial independence.

Hiring a lawyer to assist you with the filing process and the negotiation process will help you get a lower repayment amount that you will be required to render to your creditors. However, it is still your responsibility to ensure that your creditors receive the amount that you agree upon within a reasonable time frame.

Looking for a way to eliminate debts and rebuild your bright financial future? A Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Lawyer will be able to help. Check out our super guide on top notch Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Attorney in your area .

  • United Kingdom And Ireland – Past, Present And The Future

Apr 10, 2010 Author: Andrew McGregor | Filed under: Politics

People with high intellectuality and handsomeness have the power of attracting and dominating others by those virtues and this is one of the most common thing happening in the world of feelings. Similarly, complex life styles will be so hectic that instances of simple living will immediately reach them and impress those who lead such complex lives. This has been agreed as the inevitable truth and with no exceptions possible, the same was found to be true in the case of Irish and British lives.

The Irish were very simple in their living and this brought envy from the people of Britain as they thought of dominating the place and to use it resources for their advantages. The Irish were too trusting and they fell for the plans of the traders, thinking that they truly are willing to help in improving the Irish status. But ill – treatment and suppression were the price they paid for those goods Then the Irish could no longer stand the brutality in the British dominance and they challenged their suppressors in small groups which were immediately crushed.

Fifteenth century saw the conflicts between the British and Irish strengthen beyond limits, when Henry the eighth planned to bring Ireland under the leadership of the English government. He had initiated this idea just because the Irish opposed the English rules and dictatorship and to prevent the Island from becoming a base for future rebellions or foreign invasions of England. After conquering the entire stretch of land in 1541, Henry declared it as a full Kingdom and proclaimed himself as King of Ireland.

Many Irish men rose against this in small groups again but as they were not organized properly, they were quelled as easily as a bonfire when water is poured on it. Many Englishmen came to Ireland and settled in the most rich land stretches of the country and profited immensely by plundering everything in them. The English was so cruel that even the pubs in England and the ones they had set up in Ireland was ordered to have plaques outside which read, “No Dogs, No Irish”. They had the nerve of copying and plundering the valuable resources from Ireland during their period of reign there.

In the mid sixteenth and the early part of the seventeenth century, England’s crown governments made it possible of the people of England to migrate to Ireland and take care of the plantations there. But in 1791, there came a new era for the people of Ireland which was the introduction of the society of the united Irishmen and in 1800, they were brought under the Act of Union with the United Kingdom.

The English were responsible for having made several finest English architectural examples across the Irish lands, admirable by even the Irish in spite of their hatred for Englishmen. By the introduction of the Act of Union, the Irish and the Englishmen have been able to share their knowledge and live peacefully. The English are now sharing with the Irish, their own privileges in England and thereby influence the Irish even to this very day.

  • History Of The Scots Language

Feb 18, 2010 Author: Joan Sebastien | Filed under: Politics

In the 10th and 11th centuries Scots Gaelic was at its most popular as a language where most people who lived in Scotland spoke the language. Today there is only around 1.6% who can speak Gaelic. Most pro- Gaelic speakers would say that this was the plan of the English – to rid the British Isles of its Gaelic language and replace it by the English language. But there are a number of reasons for the decline of Gaelic as a language.

Firstly, by about 1400 the actual variation between the Highlands and the Lowlands had been solidly recognized. A scholarly man known as John of Fordun had this to point out concerning the differences between the highlanders and the lowlanders in 1380:

“The people from the coast tend to be of domestic and civilised behavior, trusty, patient, as well as urbane, respectable in their attire, affable, and tranquil, devout in Divine worship, but constantly willing to reject a wrong at the hands of their opponents. The highlanders and also individuals from the islands, in contrast, are a savage and untamed nation, rude or obnoxious and self-sufficient, given to rapine, ease-loving, smart and also speedy to master, comely in person, yet unattractive in dress, inhospitable towards the English people as well as language, and, due to the variety of dialog, also to their own nation, and very vicious. These people are nevertheless faithful and obedient to their own king and nation, and easily made to submit to regulation, if appropriately ruled.”

So it could be argued that the main reason for the decline in the Gaelic language was due to the great divide between the differing parts of Scotland. And by the sixteenth century the divergence between the two was at an all time high due to in the main, historic reasons and a different language being spoken. James VI had two main principles for his Highland policy – one being a way to make an income and the other was for it to be used for plantation. He considered that the highlanders and particularly the islanders were not paying their fair taxation and he wanted to change this.

In 1597 he set up three burghs within the Highlands with the intention of permitting a number of the lowlanders to rule. With the strengthening Campbell clan as well as the detest for the lowlanders of the Highlanders and the Islanders, a lot more disruption was to follow. It was costing the King greater expense than he cared to pay.

  • Theirs A Little Rebel Trapped In Each Of Us

Feb 11, 2010 Author: L.J. James | Filed under: Politics

Whenever a person or group of people try to live their lives free, those who are stuck in unhappy lives will be jealous. Some people have a hard time letting go, freeing themselves from the day to day trials and tribulations of everyday life even for a little while. Others seek an escape from the stress and anxiety often associated with modern day life.

I guess for me, that’s part of why I am a Biker. There is something about riding a bike that inspires a sense of freedom in me. The open road, the wind in my face, the smells, getting back to nature, the power of my bike. It’s all these things and more that make me feel free. It’s unfortunate that there are some people who, for whatever reason, can’t find something or someway to let go and experience the sense of freedom that we do. These people, for whatever reason, are the ones who point to us and call us rogues or rebels. They say that what we are doing is wrong and that our culture is a “disruptive influence.”

As Bikers, we live our lives a little differently. We work and have responsibilities, but we still know the feeling of freedom. Maybe its because we smile just a bit more and are a bit more relaxed that turns these people green with envy?

A person who works hard and has no free time sees a person on the road riding his or her motorcycle and thinks “I wish that was me!” The thought of being free doesn’t leave their mind. They long for it. They crave it badly! How many of you out their have had a friend tell you how they have always wanted to buy a Motorcycle and just go out riding? How many of them ever actually do?

Here is a typical story : A man is driving home from work when he see’s a group of motorcycle riders pull up next to him. He looks at this group of people riding together having a great time, He starts to think, “I wish that was me”. He then decides, “I’m going to buy a Motorcycle!” He starts thinking about riding. How great it will be to have his wife on the back of his bike and the wind in his face. We could ride up to the lake or maybe that little motel way up in the Mountains. Thinking of the great times he will have he starts to feel that small sense of freedom. He thinks “This must be what those Biker get to feel, Wow!”

He turns into the driveway, parks his truck and rushes into the house to tell his wife about his fantastic idea. “Hi honey, I’m going to buy a Motorcycle.” His wife looks at him and says “What? Did you get overwhelmed by the fumes at work again?” “You can’t ride a Motorcycle. The man answers back, “I’ll learn!”

“You must be crazy”, she says. “Those things are death traps! You will kill yourself and we can’t afford it!” “Honey this is something I really want” replies the man. “NO NO NO!!! I won’t have one of those things in my house! What kind of message would it send to the kids, our neighbors?”

They argue about it, but it the end, the man never gets his motorcycle. He never goes to the lake with his wife or takes that trip up to the little motel in the mountains. He never feels the real sense of freedom one can only get when taking a long trip on a motorcycle. He spends the rest of his life wishing he had never seen that group of Motorcycles. He is angry and bitter.

Now when he see’s Bikers he puts them down. He hates Bikers, not because of who or what they are, but because of what he can never be. He hates them because of what they represent. They represent a kind of freedom, sense of belonging, a oneness with nature and the world that he longs for, he craves, but can never have.

We live here in America, the home of the free, but many are not free. They have never experienced the sense of freedom that can only be experienced on two wheels and, for whatever reason, never will. They live boring, uneventful. “safe” lives and complain about those who don’t.

Don’t hate these envious people, pity them for they will never know the sense of freedom and brotherhood we get from riding with a group of our Bro’s. They’ll never know the wind in their face, the feeling of peace and oneness with nature we feel as we ride threw the country side or down a long lonely highway. They’ll never know the clarity of mind that comes from a long ride alone or the closeness and bond of a long ride or weekend away with someone special. Just thank your higher power that you’ve found a way to escape, a way to be free, even if for some it’s just on the weekends.

Ride Safe and Ride Free because when it all come down to it, this is all about the Ride!
